Investment Ethics
Ms. Sonia Gandhi conducted a workshop on 13th March 2018. She encouraged participants to become more conscious about their thoughts and behaviors so that they are more likely to notice, and act upon ethical issues before they become a problem. Through the help of cases she was able to help participants to recognize that ethical dilemmas that are a normal and predictable part of most jobs. She also discussed various approaches for dealing with ethical issues.

Importance of CFA exam
Mr. VidhuShekhar, CFA - Country Head, India, delivered a guest lecture on 9th March 2018. He informed the students of IIM Rohtak about the importance of CFA exam and its benefits. He said, “CFA imparts you knowledge and ethics simultaneously and in today’s world both are like two wheels of the same cart. Without any one of them, it’s very difficult to succeed.”
Mr. Shekhar told that nowadays people are taking finance as a career just as a motive to earn money. However, CFA is an exam that is created with the aim that a student realizes the importance of finance for the society like fundraising, capital restructuring etc. and is able to relate with the financial world needs.
Notably, IIM Rohtak has become the 4th IIM of the country to be affiliated with University Affiliation Program of the CFA Institute of India.
ICICI Direct Stockmind
Stock Trading
FI Club, IIM Rohtak organized a Seminar taken by Ms. Malini Prasad of ICICI Direct, who threw light on some insights of Stock Trading and also introduced ICICI Direct StockMIND event to the students. Mr. Rakesh Sharma guided the students with the general instructions of the event. The students enjoyed the session and showed great interest in the event.

Φ - Finance and Investment Club, IIM Rohtak in association with The WallStreet School conducted Financial Modelling Workshop. The workshop was taken by Suresh Varma, alumni of IIM Rohtak. Starting from a basic modelling of a fruit vendor’s business we deep dived into the subject and modeled financial statements for a complex business model of a 25 years project for Wind power generation.
